During the final day of the SANKYO presents Walküre FINAL LIVE TOUR 2023, the audience was treated to a special announcement that a brand new Macross animation project was now officially in the works. Details were extremely sparse but one surprising news is that Sunrise will be the animation studio helming this new project.
The last three main line Macross animations (Macross Zero, Macross Frontier, and Macross Delta) were produced at animation studio Satelight. Previous studios that have worked on Macross include Tatsunoko Productions, Artland, and Triangle.
