Some of Yasuda's Street Fighter art

Kotaku recently ran a piece highlighting the career of Akira Yasuda, who is known for his work with some of the biggest Japanese video game titles ever.

Known by his pen name Akiman, Yasuda worked at Capcom from 1985 to 2003, and created quite a lot of art while he was there.

In particular, Yasuda’s work can be seen in such classic titles as Street Fighter II, Street Fighter III, Marvel vs. Capcom and Red Dead Revolver, among other titles.

Since leaving Capcom eight years ago Yasuda has been a freelance artist; you can see more of his newer material on his blog, which does feature some NSFW designs (so be careful).
