The world tour of the “Attack on Titan – The Official Concert – Beyond the Walls World Tour” premiered on April 12 in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theater.

The concert allows fans to experience the soundtrack of the anime Attack on Titan, composed by Hiroyuki SAWANO and KOHTA YAMAMOTO, performed live by an orchestra and vocalists, alongside anime visuals. Announced last November to be performed in over 20 cities worldwide, the tour kicked off with an inaugural performance that included a setlist of 22 tracks, encompassing a comprehensive selection of songs from the soundtrack including “ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn <WMId>” and “Ashes on the Fire.” The orchestra, composed of LA-based musicians, played to an accompaniment of memorable scenes from the anime projected onto a large screen.

The full capacity audience of 3,000 were thrilled to see Tetsuya Kinoshita, producer of the Attack on Titan anime, making a surprise appearance as an unannounced guest to celebrate the tour’s launch. Kinoshita recounted his experiences studying film in the United States, shared some anecdotes about the production of the anime, and hinted at future Attack on Titan-related projects to come, saying “we plan to continue creating films like LAST ATTACK, concerts like this one, and various game collaborations moving forward.” Messages from composers Hiroyuki SAWANO and KOHTA YAMAMOTO were also shown via video.

This marks the first official overseas concert tour supervised by the composers themselves. Pony Canyon Music Publishing is partnering with The Wild Faery Company for the tour. Following three performances at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the tour will visit prestigious venues across 25 cities, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Wembley Arena in London, and the Sydney Opera House, for a total of 44 performances.

Attack on Titan, created by Hajime Isayama, is a dark fantasy manga serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021, with over 140 million copies sold worldwide. The TV anime began airing in 2013, and its final installment, Attack on Titan: The Final Season – The Final Chapters aired in 2023. In November 2024, the theatrical film Attack on Titan: The Last Attack was released in Japan.
