BAND-MAID, one of the world’s most popular girl bands, will release their new song Shambles and its music video on August 4th!
Soon after releasing their greatest album 10th Anniversary Best, BAND-MAID announced a new song, Shambles, which has been selected as the ending song for the anime Kengan Ashura Season 2.
Kengan Ashura (Written by: Yabako Sandrovich, Illustrated by: Daromeon) is a battle action manga series that boasts a No. 1 rating in popularity on the Ura Sunday website and is unquestionably the most popular comic on MangaONE comic app. Based on the popular manga, season 2 of the anime Kengan Ashura will be distributed September 21, 2023 exclusively on Netflix.
The cover art drawn for Shambles by the anime’s production team, features the back of Miku Kobato (founder, vocal, guitar). It stays true to the muscular manga art style and the aesthetics of the anime, leaving a strong impact on the viewers.
Kobato shared her thoughts on the new release:
“The lyrics of Shambles express the passionate feelings of Kengan Ashura‘s “fists colliding with each other in a chaotic battle, po. This was my first time in charge of a theme song for a fighting production like this, so I was very happy and excited to hear the idea, po.” –Miku Kobato

On August 4th, BAND-MAID will be the first Japanese artist in 13 years since X JAPAN to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago, one of the three major outdoor festivals in the U.S. They will continue their North American tour and play their final show abroad in Mexico on August 18th. The band will return to Japan in November to perform the final leg of their 10th-anniversary tour at Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa Prefecture. Touring or not, BAND-MAID will continue to create a frenzy in Japan and abroad.

■BAND-MAID Profile
The Internationally Famous All-Female Band Whose U.S. Tour Drew Over 20,000 Fans
The contrast of their sweet maid-costumed appearance and hard rock sound has won admirers from fans and media outlets across the world, with their songs viewed over 170 million times on YouTube.
Fan reaction videos have garnered an additional 40 million views. Rock and metal lovers have embraced the band in droves, and their support has made BAND-MAID the most popular all-female band in the world, with over 20,000 audience members turning out for their 2022 United States tour.
Not content with just rocking the biggest Japanese music festivals, they also tour internationally nearly every year. To date, they have sold out tours in the U.S., the U.K., and across Europe.
In 2019, they gained the world’s biggest event company Live Nation as a tour partner, and the collaboration of rock legend Tony Visconti in producing their album Conqueror. They formed an alliance with United Talent Agency in 2020 to promote the band throughout North America. Next came their album Unseen World, followed by their Hollywood debut in the Netflix film Kate. BAND-MAID only continued racking up accomplishments in 2022 when they appeared at the hugely popular AFTERSHOCK Festival and completed a U.S. tour attended by over 20,000 people, before returning to Japan to open for Guns N’ Roses.
2023 marks the band’s 10th anniversary and will see them touring Japan, the U.S., and Mexico. They’re also slated to appear at several big U.S. music festivals and wind down with a finale solo show at Yokohama Arena. They spent February touring the U.S. with THE LAST ROCKSTARS, and in August they’re coming to the stage of Lollapalooza, the world’s largest festival. Rest assured, BAND-MAID’s quest for world domination won’t stop here!
