This commercial by Teijin for their line of robotic seals is….odd. But if I was ever chillin’ on the beach somewhere and COULD have my trusty robo-seal at my side, I’d definitely want one, especially if it was able to bring me pills (?) and/or surf on a surfboard using only its tail for support.
Obviously, this seems like a strange, CGI-rendered robotic seal…I assume the company is being sincere and that this is a real thing, since Japanese companies keep developing freaky robots all the time, but I could be naive. Maybe this is a joke, maybe it’s real. Who knows. The one thing I know, though, is that I want one, real or fake.
