“A Japanese Movie Project and Cast Announcement” press conference was held at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo on September 28th to reveal that they are working on Japan’s very popular manga series, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’s live action movie, “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable.” It was the first time for both Toho and Warner Brothers to collaborate on the same project, which was receiving lots of attention from the press.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a popular manga series by Hirohiko Araki since 1987 on Weekly Shonen Jump. He has been chosen as “One of the 100 People Who Creates a Next Generation” by Nikkei Business and Araki was the only manga author on this list.
Movie “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Part. 1” will premiere next summer in 2017. The director is Takeshi Miike who has directed “Terra Formars” before. They also revealed the main casts for this movie including Josuke Higashikata, Koichi Hirose, Okuyasu Nijimura and Jotaro Kujo.
