Kayoko Yoshizawa’s new song “Tasokare” has been selected as the opening theme for the upcoming TV anime Tasokare Hotel, which is scheduled to air in Japan in January 2025. In conjunction with the release of the anime’s first promotional video on the Tasokare Hotel official YouTube channel, Yoshizawa has also released a promo video focusing specifically on the opening theme on her own channel.

“Tasokare” is a track that evokes various imagery in the listener’s mind through its ever-changing progression. Having passionately immersed herself in the original game, Yoshizawa’s attention to detail is evident throughout the lyrics, creating a song that embodies the world of Tasokare Hotel in her own style.

The days I spent immersed in Tasokare Hotel were such bliss. “Tasokare” was inspired by the game’s alternate ending.
Dim memories that guide the story. The exchange of life caught in the in-between. What kind of ending awaits in the anime, I wonder? Please look forward to the intricate human drama that lies beyond the mysteries.

 

Kayoko Yoshizawa

Born on June 4, 1990, and raised in the foundry town of Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, Yoshizawa made her major debut in 2014, with her second single “Nokotteru” becoming a long-lasting hit. She kicked off her anniversary year with the “Kayoko Yoshizawa 10th Anniversary Concert: Still in Witch Training” at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on May 14, 2024. She is currently on a nationwide tour titled “Triangle Tour: The Traveling Witch,” which began on October 3.
