A special event “Anniversary of a Miracle” was held to celebrate 10 year anniversary of “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion” at Maihama Amphitheater on November 27th and they revealed this series’s sequel!
One of the biggest news was “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Revival”, a new Code Geass anime movie announced by a director Goro Taniguchi and a screen writer Ichiro Okochi. The story will take place a few years after the second season’s last episode, Zero Requiem. They also added that the main character will be Lelouch, not in the different world or dimension, but in the same world as the TV anime series. It seemed like Lelouch died at the end of second season, but they didn’t explain further about how Lelouch will be the main character in this new movie.
In addition, they also announced that they are making three movies which 50 episodes from season one and season two will be edited into with new re-recorderd dialog. Director Taniguchi said this won’t be a simple summary movie but it will be a starting point for the next stage. They are hoping to get new fans through these movies as well.
