Shaman King is back in action! Be ready to be hit by nostalgia with an unexpected reboot of our beloved 90s anime.
It has been fifteen years since one of our favorite childhood classics broadcasted, and now it is ready to return better than ever. With its new updated art style, smooth animation, and high definition color grading, get ready to feast your eyes again on our favorite shaman.
Shaman-in-training, Yoh Asakura, teams up with the ghost of six-hundred-year-old samurai Amidamaru to reshape the world. He must defeat the shaman, Hao, who plans to wipe out all humans and create a new world for shamans. If you haven’t heard of this title, now’s your chance to get a sneak peek!
We have returning voice actress Megumi Hayashibara coming back as Anna Kyoyama. Minami Takayami, the original voice of Hao, and Katsuyuki Konishi joining us again as Amidamaru.
The new voice of our main character Yoh Asakura will be played by female voice actress Yoko Hikasa, a familiar voice you will definitely recognize from K-On!’s favorite bassist, songwriter, and vocalist, Mio Akiyama. A magnificent lineup of new and old brilliant voices will not only be nostalgic, but also a great opportunity for new fans to enjoy.
The new Shaman King reboot will be adapting all 35 volumes of the manga’s new complete edition. Shaman King’s publication in 1998 ended abruptly, with a new alternative ending and improvised end published in 2004. For the first time, the series will be appearing in English on Amazon’s Kindle Store and Comixology, which is also available with Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and Comixology subscription services.
The new modernized makeover is about to take over next spring season in April 2021. So prepare for the biggest shaman tournament that only happens once every 500 years!
