Bandai Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Weekly Shonen Jump Editorial Department in charge of ONE PIECE and Toei Animation Inc., announced today their plans for the ONE PIECE DAY Dallas – Card Game Celebration – to be held on March 8-9, 2025, in Dallas, Texas for U.S. fans of “ONE PIECE.”

This unprecedented international event marks the first-ever overseas ONE PIECE DAY celebration. With an expected crowd of over 5,000 fans, the event will play host to an unprecedented exhibition, live stage, and the world’s first regional qualifier for the “ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26” tournament.

Fans in attendance will experience the world of ONE PIECE through an exhibition of manga art, anime licensed merchandise and figure displays, as well as an extensive ONE PIECE CARD GAME illustration showcase. The two-day event will also feature live music performances, special guests, stage events, and more — all designed to create an unforgettable fan experience of this beloved franchise at a historic international celebration.

ONE PIECE DAY

ONE PIECE DAY is an annual fan event celebrating all things ONE PIECE since 2022. The most recent event was held in Japan from August 10-11, 2024, and is considered a great success. This year, for the first time, ONE PIECE DAY will be held outside of Japan, taking place at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, USA. ONE PIECE DAY Dallas – Card Game Celebration – will include the tournament’s global kickoff of the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26.

Commemorative ONE PIECE DAY Drone Show

On opening night, Saturday, March 8, fans will be entranced by a spectacular drone show that will illuminate the night sky to commemorate the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26. This specially-produced show will feature unique drone choreography visualizing the world of ONE PIECE — offering a grand one-of-a-kind spectacle to celebrate the occasion.

Location: Esplanade Fountain at Fair Park
Note: The drone show is weather-dependent and may be postponed until March 9th or canceled at any time in the event of unfavorable weather conditions.

Two-Day Main Stage Program

The Main Stage inside Centennial Hall at Fair Park will be the “must-see” location for fans all weekend. The two-day programming line-up will not only include anime screenings, panels, and surprise programs but also live musical performances. A special anime announcement will be made on Day One. This is a rare opportunity for fans outside Japan to experience breaking news in the world of ONE PIECE firsthand.

In addition to the special announcement, Japanese music artists Hiroshi Kitadani and Maki Otsuki will take the stage for live performances of the famous songs that color the world of ONE PIECE, including both the opening and ending themes from the “ONE PIECE” episodic series. Speculation is intense as to which of their other songs, beloved across generations, will be featured during their performances!

Both days of Main Stage programming will be broadcast live on the official English language ONE PIECE YouTube channel here. The live stream will also include the introduction of the latest merchandise and will show the world’s first regional qualifier for the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26.

ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26

ONE PIECE DAY Dallas – Card Game Celebration – will host the world’s first regional qualifier for the ONE PIECE CARD GAME Championship 25-26 tournament. The competition takes place in the Automobile Building at Fair Park and will include over 3,000 participants across two days. This will be the fastest tournament event held in the 2025 Championship season!

And for those fans not participating in the competition, there will be hands-on opportunities to experience the card game for the first time.

 

ONE PIECE DAY Dallas Exhibition

The “ONE PIECE” episodic series broadcast is set to resume with new episodes from the Egghead arc. To celebrate its return, a special exhibition showcasing the full appeal of ONE PIECE, including the manga, anime, licensed merchandise, and a large-scale ONE PIECE CARD GAME showcase, will be presented at the ONE PIECE DAY Dallas – Card Game Celebration.

This special exhibit highlights illustrations from the Egghead arc, including reproduced artwork focusing on the original Japanese comics. This allows visitors to deeply appreciate the creative design of the characters and setting of Future Island Egghead.

There will also be a reading area where visitors can freely enjoy “ONE PIECE” comics, from Volume 1 of the English edition through to the latest Volume 108, which is set to be released in the U.S. this March!

Free tickets to the ONE PIECE DAY Dallas – Card Game Celebration – are available now and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. An entry pass for admission on both days can be secured via the BANDAI TCG+ mobile app.

About ONE PIECE

ONE PIECE, created by Eiichiro Oda, began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump, issue 34, 1997 (Shueisha) released on July 22nd, 1997. Still going strong, it celebrated its 25th anniversary in July of 2022. Series Synopsis
