It is revealed that Amazon is working on The Promised Neverland the US live action drama series, and it will be streaming world-wide on Amazon Prime.
The series will be directed by Rodney Rothman whose work is famous for the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, and produced by Masi Oka who worked on Netflix’s live action Death Note. The productions company will be Fox 21 Television Studios.
The Promised Neverland is a manga written by Kaiu Shirai and drawn by Posuka Demizu and currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. To date, over 20 million copies have been sold and it has received an anime TV series in Japan. Japan’s live action film adaption will premiere in December, 2020 as well.

The story revolves around a group of orphans who discover a dark truth about the orphanage where they live, and they try to escape. It’s a dark fantasy with suspenseful action scenes.
